Sometimes when I'm driving very slow and have the sterring wheel turned almost all the way either side, there's noise from the front wheels, like they're hitting or rubbing something. Doesn't always happen, sometimes happens with the car cold, warmed up, both. Anyone ever had a Jeep with this noise?

Depends on the condition's. If you have a vehicle equipped with a PART-TIME 4WD system, set to the "PART-TIME 4WD HI or LO" position, while the vehicle is in motion, during turning manoeuvres, what you are experiencing is DRIVE SHAFT WIND-UP, which is VERY dangerous and can get expensive to repair, if damage is done. I doubt this is the case though. Most likely seized or worn front axle shaft U-joints or CV joints, depending on what type of setup your vehicle is equipped with (can't remember).

Sounds like you may have a bad wheel bearing, possibly a warped brake rotor. Have it checked out by a good mechanic.

My Audi had this noise, the mechanical told me it was the brake dust shield and he just bent it out of the way. Noise went away

Either your inner fender wells are loose and they are hitting when you turn the wheel or it's time for new CV joints! I suspect the later!!!
