You said, The US, PROBABLY !! That is a down right fabrication. The United States of America is over there trying to help them gain control of their own Government. Only one case did I hear that some nasty guy abused a young girl. It wasn't the United States, it was a basket case of a so called man. This is how propaganda starts. If your an American citizen, then don't go and start your own kind of propaganda. We don't need that. We have enough propaganda from non-citizens. You be Loyal to the country your living in. If ya don't Love your country, where you were probably born, then leave.

How I feel is not relevant at this time as I do not KNOW that the US even tortures them. Torture is an ambiguous word. To me, listening to loud music in a cold room is not torture, but just a little more uncomfortable than trying to correct opinions such as yours. It certainly fills my heart with joy to find out that the law enforcement officials have prevented 14 acts of terror from information gained through the methods they use. Comprendo?

You, really might want to read that article again. The government forces they're referring to would be the Iraqi government. report by the U.N. Assistance Mission in Iraq's Human Rights office cited worrying evidence of torture, unlawful detentions, growth of sectarian militias and death squads, and a rise in "honor killings" of women. Please tell me you're not suprised that now a dictator has been removed that all of those peace loving muslims want a chance to do unto others.

Typical Liberal, you didn't read to the end of the story. Here, let me help you.

Nowak has yet to make an official visit to Iraq and said such a mission would be unfeasible as long as the security situation there remains perilous. He based his comments on interviews with people during a visit to Amman, Jordan, and other sources.

I think its very sad! President Bush has forgotten that once he condones this legally....... he already has condoned torture behind closed doors, but once he gets the support of the people and the goverment....... he will be allowing other countries to do the same to our soliders who are captured. The Gineva Convention will crumble before our very eyes, and there will be a whole new rules to war, more people will die from battle and interogation.

I used to think thats what made us better than the enemy, we wouldn't convert to these old school torture tactics and respected the god given right as a human being when they become a POW. Now we are no better than our enemy.

Its very sad.

Lol, some people will believe anything. I'm going to see if I can get Yahoo to post a story about how Bush turned the sky pink with yellow polka dots. It'll be funny to see how many people believe it just because it bashes Bush.

Re-read the article.

It does NOT say the US is doing more torture.

It DOES say that the IRAQI militias, insurgents and the government are doing more torture.

You should read ALL the words in an article, not just headlines. You will appear better informed.

WOW, here's another Kool-Aide drinker!

You consider an interrogation as torture? At least under US questioning, we may get answers from terrorists and the guy will still be alive. Under Saddam, they would end up dead.

Sorry state when so many Americans are so uneducated.

every day several people are being dead due to sectarian violence, and a civil war like situation was created after the invasion of the USA on Iraq. when Saddam was in power AL qaeda could not raise its ugly head.
