Ohh i remember honors civics- youre working on rule of law/writ of habeas corpus, illegal/legal immigrants, how to becaome a naturalized citizen, etc, right? it is a rigorous class- and not many people take it because of it.

Honors classes are a little harder than an average core class. if you have studied a lot, and still see no improvement, ask for help form your teacher or get a tutor. if no improvement then, i reccomend taking a core class- maybe you just arent ready an honors class YET.. maybe sometime in the future.

in my freshman year, i took honors english, honors civics, honors biology and AP human geography. those are tough classes- if are going to subject yourself to above average classes, getting B's and C's are okay. the learning material is at a much higher level and at a faster pace, so i considered it an acheivment to score b's and c's in a extrmely difficult class. and i did.

right now, im 4th in my class, and i got all a's and a c first quarter freshman year. its okay to not do as well- you are still getting used to high school and your new classes.

Well, I'm in college now, and have experienced a few bad grades despite hard studying. If you study hard and read the material and still get bad grades, I would suggest talking to your professor or teacher. They can recommend to you study techniques that help you to make better use of your times and all resources. I took a Law class this past summer, and found myself getting C's on the first two tests despite reading the book and even making an outline of the material. My professor gave me some information on how to study for that type of class and I ended up with A's on the second two tests. So, just talk to your teacher.

Honors classes are much harder obviously. So getting a 76 on that exam is like getting an a in a regular class.

it's not that you are slacking off necessarily. i mean, obviously honors classes are a lot harder to keep up with, and are much faster paced. don't stress about it TOO much. keep things within a reasonable perspective. if i were you, i would pick 1 or 2 honors classes to stick with, and not take all of them. it's much less stressful, and way more fun. honors classes were hard, but you will definitely learn a lot from them in the end.

You'll improve. People pass honors classes all the time. They're only hard if you make them hard. Ever noticed how once you learn the material, it's "easy"? Like learning a language. If someone doesn't know english, people think they're unintelligent. But if you go to france or germany and speak can't speak their languages, then you'll look unintelligent for it is common knowledge for that specific groupage. It's all relative. No worries, You'll improve.

I don't think they are that hard. I'm in AP English 1, which in my school is normally for juniors. Algebra 2, also for juniors. And Honors Chemistry which is a senior class. I'm a sophomore and I'm not having too much trouble at all.

just remember that ap classes have a better grading scale...like 90-100 is an A, but in my normal classes 95-100 is an A....I just got a 75 on an AP US History test so dont feel bad at all

Honors are hard to keep up with and my honor student currently has all A's but the part to focus on is...KEEP UP...getting behind for even one day is a big problem

They are VERY hard. You have to put tons of effort to get a good grade in them. Decide if it is worth it for you. What do you gain by getting a honors degree? How much will it really help you?
