London, the most bastardised city in the world - bar none. It has been home to immigrants for centuries but the so-called Londoners do not, and never have accepted it. I am Irish and have been living in London for 40 years. I love it and hate it at the same time. Someone once said that when you are tired of London, you are tired of life. The Irish at Wapping and Kentish Town/Cricklewood. First the Jews and now the Asians in Brick Lane in the East End. The Greeks and Turks and now the Kurds in Green Lanes, Manor House, The West Indians in Brixton and Stoke Newington. Every colour, every race and every religion was hated when they arrived but the vast majority have 'become more Cockney, than the Cockneys themselves'. It is a wonderful hotch-potch of a city - and when I think of it as I am doing now, I love it and hope I never tire of it. By the way, it's now the turn of the Eastern Europeans................... that will take the heat of the Asians, as the Asians did to the West Indians, as did the West Indians from the Irish and the Jews. Love it.........

This is just another example of how muslims want to take over! Yes there are far too many muslims in London as there are all across England. I counted about 5 this weekend in the area where I live. Too many for me mate!

Almost all capital cities across the world are cosmopolitan, regardless whether you love it or hate it, it's been like that for a long time now, but more so in the past ten to twenty years.

Its just a media tag, a buzzword to sell newspapers. In Canada Vancouver is sometimes referred to as Hongcouver due to the number of Chinese people there.

Most are white I think, but there is more ethnic diversity than I feel OK about (because some races simply want to outbreed the others).

Any great city will attract immigration, both from overseas and within that country. It's a silly name that stupid people will find amusing.
Would they rather our capital was a poohole which no one wanted to live in?
