We have one dog who sheds. Most all rooms are carpeted, burber and pile. I hate pile but thats another story. I don't want to spend a fortune but I want a vaccum that WILL CLEAN. Any suggestions?

I have a Kirby as well and wouldnt trade it for anything. I can use it to sweep carpets, vinyl and hard wood floors then change heads and use the hand held devices to do my furniture, drapes and walls. I also have a carpet cleaning attachment with it...makes easy work of cleaning up spills from the carpets.

I firmly believe in Kirby vaccums. They may be more expensive, but over the years you will be glad you spent the extra money. I have two dogs and I have no problem with my Kirby. No, I am not a Kirby dealer.

Royal is the only way to go. My mother had one for over 20 years before she had to buy a new one, and then she passed that down to me. I have had it for over 9 years.

Get the Oreck. It is light and powerful. It sucks animal hair really well.
