When you iron pants, does it expand them in lenght at all?

Depending on how you iron, yes, the heat of the iron can add length. I know this because I am a professional seamstress. I specialize in wedding and prom gowns.

depends on the fabric and the temperature of the iron. if you use steam and high temperature some fabrics do expand.

I havent found this to be the case, unless they are so wrinked maybe by you ironing them out it may seem longer...But thats because they are straight.
