How do you feel about the word ***.ger or ***.ga, and the way rappers use it in their songs so deliberately? Does it offend you at all, would it offend you if you heard a non black singing a song from a rapper who uses both those words? If it is offensive to you when a non black uses it, then shouldn't blacks stop using it too?

I know I am going to take heat for this, but oh well. Yes, the word is derogatory and has negative over and undertones and yes, I would be offended if a non-black says it to me. I was always taught that it is not what you say but how you say it. If some friends of mine and I are sitting around saying the "n" word, that's cool with me. Just as if those same friends and I call each other the "b" word, that's between us and we know we don't mean any harm. But I wouldn't know how to take it if someone I don't know said that to me. It's all about the context.

I am white but think that everyone should know that this "word" we all skate around all the time came from the ancient hebrew and has Jewish Kabbalah Roots. It was originally N-I-G-G-U-N which meant "a repetitive tune that began simply and grew in momentum until it temded to overwhelm". So - in the south it was used to describe the slaves who were expert singers and storytellers. And this is the "Word" we all love to hate. Think about that and then let's all LOL.

I think its a way of distinguishing themselves from whites. Only blacks can get away with saying it, so it gives them a sort of exclusivity that only blacks have.
