I want to join the soccer team at our school but Im scared that I might not be as good as the rest and that i'll make a fool of myself...I dont know what I should do.

Im Sixteen and I played for 2 years already..Im going to try out for the high school soccer team and thats the problem..There are prob awesome players..I might look stupid compared to them. I am a good player but Im scared if im not good as I was before.

How old are you ? You must start somewhere. If you make a fool of yourself, then laugh along with everyone else, explain you are just learning. I think you should go for it if you are still young enough. Soccer is an awesome sport, good luck. PS ~work on some skills at home...... make sure you can run as well (start training)

I coach High School soccer and I would say that you should definitely try out. Worst case scenario you are not good enough to make the team. Best case scenario you are a star for the team. My guess is that you will land somewhere in between meaning you will have something to do after school, you will get your excersise, and you will meet a bunch of guys who will probably become some of your best friends. P.S. there are probably at least two teams at your school depending on how big it is so you won't have to worry about playing on a team that is at a different level than you.

if you love football (Soccer) you should just try if everyone is better than you you don't have to go again. all the players are at different abilities in teams anyway.

Be the waterboy instead. At least you are still with team. Go waterboys!!! Trust me man, because I am not athletic. People laugh at me when I play basketball. I became the waterboy but I still get the girls first than the jocks. Because aside from being a waterboy, I also play guitar in a HeavyMetal band in our town... Rock on dude!!! The jocks call us losers, but to hell with them, I get to taste their girlfriends first before they do.

Just enjoy it, don't think, there is no time for that on a game.
just follow play, that the best experience that you'll get.
