It may be from shaving or the type of deodorant you are using. You may be allergic to it, your razor may be dull, or you may be allergic to your soap or shaving cream.

Try an unscented, hypoallergenic deodorant and if you shave, don't shave them for a while. Try some non drowsy benadryl as well.

If it doesn't get better in a day or two go to the doctor as you may need something stronger.

Try washing them and drying them well. If you have started using new products, that may be an issue. Do not use deodorant for a few days, you may be having a reaction to it. It's strange, but I just had the same problem for the first time. I had done nothing different, no different deodorant, no different soap, etc. I followed the above advise and in addition, I mixed a small amount of soda with the same amount of Xylitol (a sweeter which also has antibiotic properties) from the health food store and applied it to the dampened area. It helped with the itching and the red rash was gone in 2 days. Good luck, I know how miserable it is!!

Did it start after you changed deodorants to something like a long-lasting or heavy duty product? Mine did. I found out that there were heavy metals in the product that made it last longer and work harder. It turns out that quite a few people are allergic to heavy metals. There are other people who are allergic to certain fragrances used in the products. You'll want to use a steroid product like hydrocortisone cream 1 % for a few days while you stop using deodorant and continue the baby powder route. Then switch back to a gentler deodorant. IF that's not effective or if things get worse, you should see your doctor because there are some skin diseases that can start out like that.

wash the affected area and smooth some natural youghurt over it. This will cool the area down and take care of the itch. Try changing deoderant. sometimes this can be the cause of blocked pores. my sister swears by dove deoderant. you'll notice difference in a wk.

Hi
DO NOT use deodorant you are allergic to the ingredient in the one you are using.
To help clear up the itch, wash well and put hydro cortisone cream on your underarms or an anti itch product like lanacane.
Do Not use any scented products on your underarms.
You can buy unscented anti-perpirants without aluminum in them or try a natural deodorant.

if you want to use powder try gold bond as it is medicated. Also some deodorants will cause your armpits to become irritated anyways. So you may want to change deo. Can also try hydro cortisone for itching.

Are you shaving under your arms? Maybe you should try to wait a while before putting deodorant on after you shave.

It also could be the deodorant that you are using. Switch to another brand to see if that helps.

You need to see a dermatologist. They can prescribe a cream for the rash, and deodorant that is not so harsh.
