We descended from, if not monkeys, then at least animals much like modern monkeys. If you take a look at the anatomical structure, we are a LOT like monkeys, and if you look at the DNA, even more so (we share about 97% of our genes with most other primates- and a whole 50% with most plants).
Also, if we were all descended from two people, how did we end up with so many different ethnicities? Even if Adam was black and Eve was white, we STILL couldn't reach orientals and american indians in the space of only 6000 years without selective breeding, and neither the Bible nor any reasonable history book says anything about selective breeding in humans.

rubbish! the fact that they found a skull claimed to be 3 million years old, it does not necessary means it was a daughter of Adam or Eve. Why we always think that there was no life before Adam or Eve. God existed since eternity, he must have created other creature befor Adam and Eve. I only doubt that the answer to your question could be yes only when I see Bush!

If you literally believe in everything the Bible says, which is the good Christian thing to do, then we were all created by Adam and Eve. However, if you prefer instead to use your brain and have some faith in science and technology, you'll see that we've slowly evolved. After all, there's no possible way Adam and Eve's children could've had their own children and so on leading to us.

Wanna hear my theory? It's got a lot of kinks that need to be worked out, but... *shrug*
I think that God (any God, maybe all the Gods and they got together on a council or something) made the world and the animals and blah, blah, blah. But not humans. Then he let them all go about their lives until they started evolving and monkeys became humans. Ta-da!
I also have a theory that an advanced alien race was flying by when Earth was still the primordial ooze stage and accidentally set off the chain of events that caused mankind.
Basically...? I dont know. Im here and I dont plan on leaving any time soon.

We are decended from the apes. Monkeys are decended from the apes so we are cousins (in a long distance kinda way).
Adam and Eve are biblical characters, that works on the thesis that all of humanity is decended from one african female.
Either way "we" were not made by Adam and Eve

We do not descend from monkeys; we share common ancestry with monkeys. (This is an important distinction) We are related to monkeys and apes, because they and we are descended from the same ancestral type.
This is absolutely proven, by comparative anatomy and by genetic analysis. Don't let anyone con you that evolution is a theory - it is an observed fact. There are theories to explain how evolution works - natural selection is the most widely accepted.

Depends on where your heart and faith is.
My answer to that would be neither though. I mean I believe in the whole "there is a God", but at the same time I can see many scientific proof. Perhaps we come from a species of animal that no longer exist. Maybe this animal was somewhere between apes and dolphins. Because dolphins are extremely intelligent, and apes do resemble our features. We all may somehow be related, but the true answer will remain a myster, because that's the fun in life.

If you are ten, then you really shouldn't be on this site - there are too many foul-mouthed people here.
As to your question: both monkeys and humans descended from a common ancestor. If it pleases people to call this ancestor "Eve", I have no objection.
