Try a scavenger hunt-one for the older children-and one for the younger children with the older children as their guides. It always worked out real good when my kids were younger. They had alot of different age ranges with cousins and friends in the neighborhood. Bobbing for apples is always a big hit with the younger kids too.Have a happy Halloween!

I had a huge halloween party for my daughter, I did alot of different things
1. Bobbing for apples
2. I tied sewing thread to the middle of small donuts and hung them in a door way from the kitchen to the dining room, the kids had to put their hands behind their backs and eat the donut,, i used powered donuts so the sugar got all over their faces. you have to make them all different lengths. the first one who ate their donut won,
3. I sat the kids in a circle and they had to pass a apple only using their chins to pass it. Again no hands, so it was passed chin & neck and chin & neck. whoever dropped it was out of the game til the last person was left
4. Of course we did the ghost stories.
5. I got small pumpkins and whoever drew the best face on them with markers of course won a prize for that.
6.Of course we decorated the house using black lights and cob webs an tons of other deco. We even took her bed room and made it into a haunted room with my friends and my hubby's friends hiding in different places, it was dark with just some black lites,, we really went all out for this! u can also do it outside if its not to cold , anyway to say the least we made tons of fun food and had a great time. the kids loved it! And so did we! i even dressed up ! Happy Halloween and have a great party!
