For example, forward jokes that you think are funny. A lot of people won't come right out and say "knock it off". Should I only send them to people that respond and say "ha ha - good one" or something like that. I guess this is an email etiquette quesion.

actually I have a friend who forwards me EVERY joke, riddle and poem...I NEVER respond to any of these... but I do enjoy reading them and she keeps sending them.... so my rule is: unless I tell you to knock it off keep sending them!!

My sister-in-law actually came out and told me via email she did not like to receive the jokes and stuff. I made a point of only sending Christian oriented things and was trying to be friendly. She lives in Chicago and I live in California. She was upset because she never got emails that "said" anything. Well, I never got any emails from HER. Needless to say I was very hurt.
Most people are not so mean and blunt so I would say that if you never get any responses and the person never emails you back it may be best to stop sending them. Also a lot of people have an email address but rarely check it. Me, I'm on the computer a couple of times a day but some people only go on occasionally.

Just send out a public letter saying, Hey guys if anyone doesn't like my jokes please tell me so i don't polute your e-mail with them!

been where your at, get so many ha-ha"s in my mail, each friend would all resend me them, when we got on the phone, just nicely apporched the subject, well its ended.
