How many Americans took to the streets and rioted or killed anyone after Chavez' insane remarks ? That the democrats embrace socialism , has never been more apparent -but we aren't going to stoop the hate tactics of liberals and their COMRADES , like Chavez , by taking to the streets like the terrorist group that is trying to destroy our people , our freedom and our economy .- WHILE those very same people are being praised by Chavez and the liberals . Since when does the U.S. have to defend keeping terrorism off our soil ?

I know, isn't this quite interesting that he can make those remarks and gets away with it, people in our own country even agree with him, but when the Pope quotes something that was already said in history, others are threatening to kill!!!
As for me and my house, I am glad our soil is being defended!

I think that we need to realize that Chavez isn't the only person who feels that way about our president. He just said it so everyone would hear it. There are many countries out there who hate Americans in general. By the way, I'm a liberal and I don't embrace socialism but I do embrace freedom of speech, the Constitution and foundation of this country, democracy. It's apparent that you don't really know what liberals are about, and probably don't even know what true conservatism means, you just spout what you hear other cookie cutter people say and wait for the reactions to roll in. You should should the documentary on Barry Goldwater, he was a true conservative and someone that a liberal could respect.

Chavez should not have to apoligize, nor should the Pope for his remarks. I believe Muslims should not be threatened by what the Pope says if they are secure in their beliefs and relationship to their god. Why should it matter to them what the leader of the Catholic Church says or even thinks about them. As for Chavez, he was able to say what he said because of freedom of speech in the U.S. and even at the U.N. I believe as Josh Bolton said, this is cartoon diplomacy. If Chavez wants to show that he is basically a cartoon character buffoon then all the better that he does and the rest of the world recognizes him for what he is. Chavez has done a lot of things recently that show that is very politically and PR savvy. This isn't one of them and to me that is good. The sooner he dissappears from the Venezuelan political scene the better for Venezuelans.

You are launching this question into a diatriabe of hatred against Democrats and missing the point. Democrats are not communist sympathizers. I am not sure what generation you belong, but have you forgotten how democrats and republicans always rally together against the communists?

This bastard is just an insecure S.O.B. who is looking for attention. He is trying to keep his image in Venezuela. Trust me if he would not do this, the military would have kick his behind long time ago. He has to be in the news 24/7 to survive. Leave him along for a month and he will not be remember any more.

Please think in logical manner and then you will come to your senses.

Why should he apologize? Maybe if you educated yourself as to what IMPERIALISM is, then maybe you'll understand why the rest of the world hates us...including Mr. Chavez and it's not because of our "freedom." BTW I buy Citgo gas and boycott Exxon.

He doesn't have to apologize. He's not the Pope and the US isn't a Muslim nation. And to Liberals the saying, 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend' was never more true. Chavez hates Bush and so do Democrats*LOL* YOU can take it from there.

Apologize? This is something that gets him elected, the hatred of the US. And you know what? It works. When is the US going to apologize for sparking more terror, torture, and death than before the overthrow of Saddam? 6,600 innocent civilians died in July and August alone. Saddam must have been doing something right if he kept Iraq under control.

As soon as Americans quit buying Citgo gasoline. You do know it is owned by the Venezuelan government!! It's true. Buy any other brand, not Citgo. For all you independent station owners out there, find another brand to sell. Why would we intentionally finance ANOTHER country to help sponsor terrorism against the U.S.?
