haha, I live in Wilmington and attend UNCW- how funny that I found this question!!!! I think that Wilmington is more populated by gays in the summer for obvious reasons, god bless Wrightsville Beach! But, for the most part I'd have to say that Asheville is- it's loaded with family! Plus I feel that Asheville is more organically gay, while Wilmington is gay on a more artsy level. It's nice to see an outsider's view of our community, I never realized that we are competing with Asheville, now I know!

I'd have to say Asheville. I lived there for 10 years. The gay community is really growing.
