HI,
This may seem weird, but i am curious. If you are pregnant in your tubes , will a pregnancy test show a positive reading?

It may or it may not. The hormones produced by the zygote should keep the uterus from cleansing itself (your period), but because the uterus doesn't actually have the stimulation of the growing embryo, it may not produce the hormones you'd need to register on a HPT. Your best best would be to go to a doctor and get a blood test; urine might not contain enough of the hormone.

Also, if you're experiencing severe pain on one side or the other of our lower abdomen get yourself to a doc or hospital RIGHT AWAY. An ectopic pregnancy can be fatal if the tube ruptures and you're not treated immediately for the internal bleeding.

Possibly. I had a tubal pregnancy. I didn't test as being pregnate but was told sometimes you can. If you are thinking you are pregnant - and you think it's tubal, you MUST go to a doctor before the pregnacy "ruptures" your tube and/or your ovary. You can die if this happens and it can happen VERY quickly!

yes it will. In fact, any ectopic pregnancy will show a positive result (bHCG), not necessarily home pregnancy test. the most definitive test should be an ultrasound to pinpoint the location of the fetus.

Yes, the test checks for hormones released by a fertilized egg, not the presence of a fertilized egg in your uterine lining.
