edward scissor hands,whats eating gilbert grape....... its to hard to choose one...cos he's a brilliant actor and he's gorgeous!!!

I'm not really into Johnny Depp, I think I've watched Edward Scissorhands and it was ok. The best thing I ever watched with Johnny Depp in was called 21 Jump Street, back in the 80's before he started doing films.
Those of you who are thirty something will remember this I'm sure.

With the exception of Don Juan DeMarco I've loved every movie Johnny Depp has been in. The movie Don Juan DeMarco I just didn't care for in general. If I had to chose one movie it would probobly have to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. His portrayal of Willy Wonka was what I would expect from a character that hasn't seen or made contact with the outside world for who knows how long. So far all of the scripts chosen by Johnny have suited him. As stated earlier I don't know why he hasn't recieved an oscar. If he doesn't recieve any nomination for PoC then the academy needs to have their heads examined.

Sorry, but I can't be honest if I don't say Pirates of the Caribbean. It's overall the most enjoyable film with the greatest acting. But, if I absolutely have to say something else, I'll say "Edward Scissorhands." It's an early one, but the story is so unique and moving.

What's Eating Gilbert Grape was really good. He played such a normal guy amidst all the chaos of the character's life. I really felt for him.
Edward Scissorhands was so heartbreaking and sweet.
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was so bizarre and he was wacky in it! I never once compared his performance to that of Gene Wilder in the original.

But it definitely is Pirates of the Caribean! That role is written especially for him. And he was also brilliant in Benny and Joon.

just thinking and i think that it is a complete tie between whats eating gilbert grape... i agree that he was such a normal character amidst all the chaos of others and the film is absolutely beautiful... and ed wood ... i just love the way he totally accepts the character not like some crap actors who basically just change their clothes! also he really scared me in willy wonka... but appreciated the length he went to create a character that was different from the original...totally made the character his own... he is sexy too!
