If it happens when you put the car in gear then more than likely you have a short in the tail lights or under the dash. Normally, the dash lights work in conjunction with the running lights, and are on the same fuse.
What might be happening is putting the vehicle in gear goes through the reverse light cycle which in turn must be shorted in the areas mentioned. Check your tail lights, wires, bulbs etc for melted insulation causing the short. It can also occur under the dash usually close to the head light switch, fuse box, or steering column.
You can use an ohmeter to locate or I generally just use a piece of wire and you will smell it or see smoke real quick. Of course remove the wire immediately! Don't worry, the smoke or smell is not a big deal because your going to replace it anyway to repair the short.
You didn't mention any details including year so I am just giving you an "in general" suggestion. If it has a computer (ECM) you might want to just use the ohmeter technique!

Got a short somewhere so need to get it checked to see where it is and get it fixed. Then it will not blow any more. Get a mechanic or someone that knows about the electrical system.

YOU HAVE A DEAD SHORT SOMEWHERE AND IT IS SNAPPING THE FUSE. YOU WILL HAVE TO FIND WHAT THAT FUSE GOES TO AND SEE IF YOU CAN FIND A BARE SPOT IN THE WIRE OR ELSE WHAT EVER THE FUSE IS FOR HAS A SHORT IN IT, YOU MAY HAVE TO REPLACE WHATEVER THE FUSE IS FOR.
