Spybot S&D is one of the best AS programs around. The amazing part is that it is free. Million of people use it as part of their primary protection package.
Spybot can provide real time protection if you activate the Tea Timer during the setup procedure. Watch for it and check the box for it. If you do not, Spybot is still a great scanner and removal tool after you are infected.
This is one of the very few time you can get something from the net for free that benifits you.

It is a good idea to have both Spy Bot Search and Destroy and Adaware SE. Most of the commercial data mining programs get taken out by the Adaware program but Spy Bot Search and Destroy roots out some pernicious programs not covered by Adaware SE. Further, If you "Immunize" each time you download the updated "definitions" in Spy Bot....most of the pernicious programs get stopped before you are aware they are trying to load on your machine.

It has worked very well for me. But I have found that no single program will get of of all spy-ware.
When I clean a computer of spy-ware, I use a combination of Ad-Aware, Spybot Search and Destroy, the Norton anti spy-ware from the Yahoo toolbar, and Ewido anti spy-ware.

It's a real program....that works really good too! I have it & it's found quite a few things that my regular anti-virus program (Norton's) hasn't found but should since it's supposed to search for adware & spyware too. Another good program to try is Ad-Aware. Both are free programs :-)

Well I have used it quite a number of times to clear out adware and spyware and it does the job. If it is a trojan, it is one heck of a good one.

as long as that's Norton protection suite you're stable to circulate Anti virus on my own won't do lots stable for many customers --human beings insist on doing stupid issues so the protection is mandatory
