This show looks interesting and I have watched a couple of episodes, but when I tried to watch it the other night, I just cringed. I thought the one husband was treating the other wife so badly and that she was kind of loopy, too, saying that the family was "too clean" when she had a mess back at her house. I don't know ... what do you think of these people on Wife Swap? Share your favorite episode or most hated.

i like the show in general....because the people are soo crazy sometimes! i think it's a little too much to swap mom's who are SO completely, 100% different, that it's so obvious they're gonna go into conniptions when they see their "new" house and family =T. but i do like the show, i think a lot of the families really learn to appreciate eachother, as well as learn how to change things...

one i saw that was really moving was this family who lived in a trailer, cuz the dad's dream was always to live cross country. and the wife had NO backbone, and the kids kept getting uprooted. they switched her w/ a mom from a very homey atmosphere, i think she encouraged her kids to do lots of activities and stuff, so she Made that trailer husband get rid of it, and rent a house. he literally Cried and wouldn't get off the couch cuz he didn't want to work. it was crazy.

another one was when they switched an accountant living in fast paced new york, and her and her husband like scheduled EVERYTHING out for the kids, barely any time for family time, with a family that lives in a TREE HOUSE. in the boonies. with barely any neighbors around. she like churned her own butter and crap!

recently i saw another where a new york mom who likes to go clubbing was switched w/ a mom who owned a llama farm.... it was pretty funny. and they actually both helped the families and learned from each other.. that one was good....

( i really don't watch very often!! hahaha )

I watch it and it just blows my mind how people can be!! My favorite one was where there was this couple and they were both kinda big-
The wife was so lazy and she bossed her husband around. She never did any work, but she said she wasn't lazy and that she was "active"..She was swapped with this lady who was a fitness fanatic-her husband works with the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders. Well the fitness lady got the big man to start exercising and helped him get his old job back at a radio station that he quit to make his wife happy.
Get this-that lazy woman was so mad that she refused to go the last meeting until she talked to her husband! She wanted him to quit and take care of the house and kids like he always did while she sat on her big butt.
Needless to say, the husband quit his radio job to go back to helping his wife.
I am telling you this woman was soooooooo bad, if I could have jumped through the TV-I would have slapped her. No doubt the worse one yet.

I love these "swap" shows. They seem to find the strangest mom, and then a normal mom and switch them. I mean, their styles are just bound to clash. Its a great idea. To see how other husbands are to their own wives is just as good. I mean I didnt think chauvanism was still so big. I watched one episode where this guy worked and paid the bills etc. while he's explaining how his wife is meant to be a homemaker, cooking, cleaning yadda yadda. But the funniest thing was this so called housewife, had sooo much plastic surgery (lip injections, fake boobs, face surgery). Its gross. She bent to his every whim, and she's brainwashed to believe thats all that shes good for! Then again, she didnt seem to bright.

Oh well,
The world is full of wierdos, right?

Yeah. They all try to out do each other. They think their own ways of living is the way all should be. They don't go into the home and think "oh, this will be fun. I get to meet new people and see how they live." Its more of "Oh look at the way they live! This is not right. My way is better so I am going to change it all."

then what really bugs me is when they go home to their family they always run over to them and freakin' cry! it's like DUDE! you weren't gone that long and it's not like you were put in the middle of a war zone and feared for you life....

lol sorry. yeah. it gets to me. but im sucked right in every freakin' time only to find myself being irritated throughout the episode lol.

Ive seen the show a few times. I dont know its like they purposely take two completely opposite families and switch the wifes to see what will happen. Its like some wild crazy science hypothesis gone bad. But its something to watch while you are waiting for your real show to come on.

I think it's kinda funny,,, I think they go out of their way to find people who are 100% opposites of each other.

The one I liked the best was the one wife was an etiquette teacher, and the new family was very rude and she made the boys write a letter to the meat man at the grocery store for being mean.

or the one with the Wiccans ,, it was really cool to see them portrayed as normal and not crack jobs!!!!

Am I the only one that knows these shows started out as a skit on the Dave Chapelle show a few years ago? I can't believe that people subject themselves to this type of torture, but it appears that some of the participants actually do benefit from appearing on the show. B

I actually happen to be a big fan of the show. I think it gives us the viewer a chance to see certain peoples lives and how they live. My favorite episodes are when the couples are extremely opposite. (eg. the atheist/christian or the neat freak/sloppy person) If these people don't have a problem with showing their lives who are we to complain?

I've seen it a couple of times, it seems more like "Mom Swap". They just try to get dirty minds to tune in using the title "Wife Swap". Probably works! ;)
