Is this a new problem, or it is ongoing?
How much RAM do you have?
How many programs do you have in startup?
Are you running a complex screen saver full of graphics?
A complex screensaver runs in the background and slows down your work. Yes, they are fun, but ... I enjoyed mine for a while, then changed it to blank.
You might also want to:
In Int. Exp.: click Tools, cl Internet Options
Delete Cookies, Delete Files (cl offline), clear History, set days to store pages to 0.

You probably have to many programs active try closing progams in your system tray wich is in the bottom right next to the the time. Or if you have anything else running that may be using a lot of ram or you may have to little ram. more info about your computer would get you better results.

Computers need maintenance.
You need to do:
1. Disk cleanup
2. Disk defragmentation
3. Registry cleaning
For 1 and 2 you can use Abexo Defragmenter Lite Plus:

Also probably you have too many auto start programs (programs that start automatically when you turn on your PC, like Yahoo messenger, Norton anti-virus). Disable their auto start option as much as possible.
