Shampoo works the best. it gets out the oils that the lotion on your feet leave. those oils are what cause your sandals to get so dirty. Shampoo your flip flops, then towel dry them, scrubbing hard. works every time!

The best way to wash your sandals is to wash them with soap and water. (in a sink or tub, scrubbing them really good!) Let them soak for about 30 minutes to an hour. Once they are completely dry, I would suggest putting some foot powder (you can get some that smell really nice) and leaving that on for about another 30 minutes to an hour.

If it is real leather, AVOID water, this damages the leather, if not, just use soap and water, something with a fragrance and antibacterial to get the stench out. They make shoe power too, try that for the smell.

Just spray them with 409 and wipe them down as allowing them to sit in water will hurt the leather
