About a month and a half ago I noticed red rashes on each side of my scrotum. I assume it was due to working so hard in the warehouse that I work in. I was sweat profusely every day to get my job done. Anyhow I took a two week break from working hard but the rash kept spreading. I tried putting anti-fungal powder on the area but it did nothing. Then I tried using Hydrocordisone (probably spelt wrong) on the area which didn't make it go away but it sort of helps it keep from spreading so I moved onto lotramin because I'm almost positive this rash is jock itch, but the lotramin didn't help at all. So far the only thing I've found that helps it start to look better is antibiotics that I had left over from a previous denist visit. The rash looks just like jock itch but its spreading like crazy. It completely covers my crotch and has moved up onto my scrotum and down the inner sides of my legs. It's also moving up into the pubic hair above my penis. There's also a little redness on my penis

Are there any doctors or medical people who could give me advice on this?
I called the doctor but it's going to be a few days before I can get in there and it's really bothering me. I want it to go away. I'm not sure if the antibiotics are going to completely eradicate the infection and the fact that it has spread onto my penis is even more scary, but like I said, it looks just like jock itch. Sometimes it looks like a bunch of little red bumps and then sometimes it's more like a smooth surface depending on how irritated it is. The bumps are not all on hair follicals so I don't think it's a follical infection. It itches and burns like crazy and if I don't put hydrocordisone on it, it gets really dry and painful.

I swear it sounds like yeast, but you probably should go to the doctor. If you use over the counter cream for jock itch like lotromin cream, you have to put in on for up to 10 days for it to stop the rash. I dont like powders because they cake and sometimes irriate.
Also, I strongly reccomend washing this area with hot soapy water, then rinse and dry off with a towel and sleep frog legged with a fan blowing between your legs to dry it up. Its probably best for you to use dial or safeguard or some other antibacterial soap.
Hope you get this rash cleared up soon.

If Excessive sweating is your problem you'll find here vert good tips: http://hyperhidrosis.toptips.org
About 2% to 3% of the general population experience excessive sweating a condition called hyperhidrosis which can occur with or without a trigger. The most common type is called primary (or focal) hyperhidrosis and it has no known cause, although it seems to run in families. You may have a different type of excessive sweating called secondary (or generalized) hyperhidrosis.
This means that your symptoms may be due to an underlying medical condition or disease (e.g., nerve damage or a hormone disorder), or due to a side effect of a medication you are taking. Talk to your doctor.

I think I know what it is ,and you may not believe it. My doctor told me to try this, and also a friend. I'll bet you use anti-bacterial soap like Dial. This will cause your problem. Try using a soap like Dove for a while. This helped me a lot,but sometimes I get a little itch, and my pharmacist gave me Miconazole Nitrate 2%,and hydrocortisone creme. Mix equal parts and apply a thin coat all over and around the affected area. This is what I do,and it really works well.

Try using GoldBond powder or just plain corn starch. If it's jock itch, the area has to be as dry as possible as the funus spreads with moisture. Also wear boxer shorts or nothing at all.

It's time to see a dermatologist. Your home remedies aren't working.

i know this is going to sound painful, but go to a doctor!!!
there is a skin condition that can cause this type of reaction, and can be cured fairly quickly but you need a prescription to do it.
also, this is going to sound bad, but put vagisil on it. (in the feminine care aisle at your supermarket)
it may just be a topical yeast infection.
a guy friend of mine gets them a lot because he works with bread and stuff in a bakery.
also, you may be producing too much yeast in your sweat.
this could cause a reaction of this type.
go to yuor doc to know for sure and get medication to help.
