Go to the County Clerk's Office located in the county seat of the county in which the house is located. Then, if you know the name of the current owner, go to the most current Grantee book and look up the owners name. Beside that name will be the name of the person they bought the house from. Then you can continue searching backwards in the same manner. If you do not know the name of the current owner, start at the tax office for the name, then proceed as stated above.
