I am writing from my own experience. had I have the information regarding your industry I would have been more specific.

I would suggest few tips which is very easy and can land you in job.
1. Do brief resarch about company, who are they , what they do.
2. Then match your profile and cross check your knowledge and skills.
3. be open and do not try to please and give more respect. be humble but straightforward. The firm wants straight forward people. You should must have perfect communication skills. make proper eye contact (ofcourse do not enter into a staring competition). Make a thorough list what you would provide during your stay to the company. Listen and also ask a lot of questions like what they want from you in first three months and during first year. This will enhance their curiosity. And sit staright and worn some light perfume. talk politely but do not murmer rather speak confidently in neutral tone that is neither rude nor too polite.

Remember they interviewer is well experienced, so never lie of your past records and tell them honestly. Also do not ask for a package that is lower than your industry norms. It will indicate that you are bargaining yourself for the time being. So quote the genuine package.
if you are in IT get updated with new language skills etc. if you are in service or retail industry learn some tools like data management, customer handling techniques. Also update your computer skills take a typing coaching, should be comfortable with Excel, access, poewer point, etc.

My point is that you should have complete information of that company and then for a particular post whatever skil sets are required get them and go for a kill.

Also never go in jeans wear formals or atleast semiformal. Listen and speak only which is required. Forget you in an interview, imagine as if dealing with your spouse. So be frank, honest, bold, courteous but still self respect.

Hope these tips would be helpful. All the best.
Regards,
Lotus

Here are some common sense pointers:

Stay relaxed (or at least appear to be).

Be professional no matter what is said to you.

Have a sense of humour.

Don’t be intimidated into answering a question with which you’re not comfortable. Smile, acknowledge and comment on the question, and then if possible, find another way to segue the question into a positive statement with which you’re at ease.

Be aware that some shrewd employers will set a very casual tone for the interview, in order for you to feel very comfortable and let down your guard. This is a test to see how professional you are. Never relax too much.

When I was 22, I wanted to make sure I understood how to prepare for job interviews when a friend of my loaned me a book called "Go Hire Yourself an Employer". It was a wonderful book. Since that time, I have had 2 different jobs, and both times hired because of the tips the book has to offer. It is still in publication, go to Amazon.com.

Good luck

Make sure to make eye contact, use a firm handshake, and most importantly--LIE. Seriously...nobody tells the truth in job interviews.

For example: If they ask you what your biggest flaw is, say something like, "I'm too task-driven. If I get my mind set on something, I can't do anything else until it's done." or "I'm too caring. I like helping people too much" or something like that. Employers honestly just want to hear what they want to hear. Not the truth.

So stop telling the truth in your interviews. You'll get hired. I promise.

eye contact, don't cross your arms, let them rest beside you or in your lap(it's a sign of insecurity or shyness), try shaking their hand when you get up to leave, you'd be surprised at how that affects the interviewer, dress nice for the job you're interviewing for, but don't overdress, try not to let them see how nervous you are, show confidence. Hope this helps. I've never been turned down for a job yet.

You dont say much about yourself or the interviews. You must have a sense of why you didnt get hired? Keep in mind there's a lot of competition out there.

Arrive on time.
Introduce yourself in a courteous manner.
Read company material while you wait.
Have a firm handshake.
Listen.
Smile, nod, give nonverbal feedback to the interviewer.
Ask about the next step in the process.
Thank the interviewer.
Write a thank-you letter to anyone you have spoken to.

Good Luck!!

One thing that I would suggest is to go online and do as much research on the company you're interviewing with before the interview. It will really impress them if you ask questions related to their current operations/products, etc. A lot of times, an interviewer will actually ask "Do you have any questions about our company?"

Dress the way it is expected to get the job you want...listen more than speak....learn all you can about the job you want so you can speak with knowledge. Be on time for interviews. And most of all, be yourself...be warm and friendly as you know you are....
