I'm talking about those "miracle" products - such as those "seen on tv", from infomercials, or even products you find in the drugstore that claim to cure acne, remove body hair, even your skin tone, solve all your problems.....

I bought this thing because it sounded like magic. And they never actually pictured it or described what it was exactly.

When I was a kid I ordered one of those voice throwing things advertised in the back of a comic book.This was in 1948 and a quarter was a lot of money back then. When I received it, it was a thin, flat, round piece of metal with a hole in it that you put in your mouth to throw your voice. Didn't work. I was devastated.

I bought that thing that whips food. It's basically an inverted blender, shaped like a stick with the blade on the bottom. Forgot what it's called.
Anyway, I paid like $60 for it off the TV. Later, I saw different models just like it in the store for $15 with more attachments. Oh yea, it broke after 4-5 months.

My mom bought some Jessica Simpson strawberry perfume as a gift...smelled like the stuff 12-year-olds wear. I bought a 2-disk compilation that yielded only about 3 worth-it songs.

Proactive, I seen on a reality tv show when they asked Jessica what kept her skin healthy, she gave another name, and it wasnt proactive.
