I am a Liberal and I don't blame Bush for September 11th!

Anyone who would believe a U.S. President would plan an attack on his own people, has to be on drugs, or just plain out of their F*****mind!

I guess it's true what other Countries are saying about Americans these days...Each new generation is becoming dumber than the last.

If an attack like September 11th would have happened in the 1970's when I was growing up, the last thing we would have said was...it was planned by of our President.

What does it say about the character of Conservatives, when you label all Liberals, like this?

I don't label all Conservatives the way you do all Liberals. I have Conservative Friends and they are great people.

There is good and bad in all walks of life and that includes Political Parties!

I might not like the job Bush is doing as President "BUT" as a loyal American, I have much respect for his office!

Get a life moron!

hopefully one would reply with a better answer than "because they're assholes"

I don't think you can blame Bush or Clinton for 9/11.

The ball started rolling over 20 years ago when the Reagan and Bush Sr administrations approved and funded the training of Taliban members to resist invasions from Iraq and the Soviet Union. The training was done by our CIA.

Was it a terrorist attack? YES!

Was it a cowardly attack? YES!

Do I think bin Lden is responsible and should be brought to justice? ABSOLUTELY!

Do I also believe that the US needs to change its foreign policy agenda? ABSOLUTELY!

The problem is that you cannot undo over 20+ years of misguided foreign policy in one day or even a year. However, the US needs to extend a laurel branch and start working towards global peace.

I'm a liberal, and I don't blame Bush for 9/11. I blame Osama bin Laden for 9/11. Most liberals don't blame Bush for 9/11. We're not stupid. We know that Bush didn't plan to fly airplanes into US iconic buildings. And we know that the hatred and anger that caused bin Laden and his crew to perpetrate this awful act had been growing for years, long before Bush came to office, long before Clinton came to office. As witness, consider the 1993 failed WTC truck bombing, the USS Cole, the bombings of our embassies in Africa. Al Quaeda's been coming after us for years.

Problem is, no one really took them as a serious threat until 9/11.

What we liberals blame Bush for is pulling the majority of our troops out of Afghanistan, where bin Laden was hiding and the Taliban was helping him plan, train, and execute these attacks, to go on a pointless mission of personal revenge against a man who, while certainly no one I'd want to invite to dinner, posed no threat to the United States. As a result of this, the man who posed us no threat is now on trial, and the man who planned the attacks is still at large planning more attacks.

So I don't blame Bush for 9/11. But I blame him for EVERY LIFE LOST AS A RESULT OF AL-QUAEDA ATTACKS SINCE THEN.

Because he could have stopped those by keeping the pressure on bin Laden, and he didn't.

Might it have something to do with the fact that the Bushes and BinLadin's have been affiliated for decades? The fact that the BinLadin family was secretly flown back to Saudia Arabia after all flights had been grounded? The fact that there were explosions recorded as seismic waves right before the towers fell? The fact that there were precise warnings to the president that were ignored?

No one speaks of the legal gymnastics that prevented Clinton from nailing OBL in 1998. No one speaks of the ZERO RESPONSE to the USS COLE attack in 2000. No one speaks of the utter failing of Louie Freeh and Soft George Tenet who slept through their day jobs under Billy's watch. Clinton was a domestic political genius, but when Islam was under fire in the Balkans, our troops went in. When America was under fire in Manhattan '93, Kenya '98 and the Persian Gulf '96/'00, Clinton fell silent.

The Ayatollahs/Ahmadinejad want to take the USA down a notch (with Russian/Chinese help). They want to cozy up to the world outside the US, or to our young and impressionable and liberal youth, while the warhead molds that shape the nuclear material he is developing are quickly making their way into Iran. Why do you need warhead molds, when you aren't seeking a nuclear bomb?

We identified all attackers in all four planes that crashed on 9/11/01. They were all radical muslims who were trained in the mountains of Pakistan and Afghanistan, who learned how to fly planes during Clinton's law enforcement sabbatical, and took advantage of our slumber as a nation, to kill 3000 Americans. Blaming someone who you don't like, for something he didn't do, is rather childish when you're a child, but rather irresponsible when you're an adult. Until you have documented proof of CIA, FBI, DoD and White House complicity in this attack, you are using hearsay and rhetoric as a poor substitute for fact.

The character of liberals is to be applauded for their concern about the poor, the working poor, the illegal poor, the taxing of civil liberties during wartime and a host of other things. HOWEVER, during wartime, when our nation is under attack, from without and within, the priorities MUST be changed. There has to be a unity against the identified and vocal enemy of America. I've provided a link that best describes our national psyche, something we revisit again, some 150 years later.

"A HOUSE DIVIDED AGAINST ITSELF CANNOT STAND."

It is time to choose what's more important, the defense of one's personal opinion, or the defense of our homeland.

Because the want to shift your eyes away from what they(liberals) are doing, that is running the country down by giving every other liberal leftist dictator or terrorist thug ammunition to use against us. Iranian pres said we don't have the political will power to win the war in Iraq and the Demcrats and liberals are proving his point everyday. People like him say they do have the will because they don't allow any oppostion to exist in their countries making it look like they are all united together against us. What gets me is the liberals don't understand that governments like the ones in Iran or Venezuala are the types that would get rid of people like them (Liberals and dissenters) right off the bat if they came to power here. Their hatred of Bush and Conservative Americans has blinded them to the truth and they are spreading this blindness in our colleges and media. You can see that by the types of answers and questions posted by so many young people on Yahoo everyday.

The Pres. of Iran does, so as to attempt to distract the world from the fact that HE is responsible. The libs do because they NEVER feel that anything wrong done is the fault of the person who did it. Being a Demorat is ALWAYS having to say you're sorry.
