I am a CSI aficionado. I would no more miss the show to watch Grey's than I would willingly stop breathing. But this is WHY they do this. The people who market Grey's think that their watchers will be more loyal than those who watch CSI. It is called the "ratings race".

Pure competition by ABC against CBS. They always do this to bring a show's ratings up or down. I am very sad because they are two of my favorite shows. Luckily, I have a friend who has tivo, but I get to watch both. Tonight, I must see Grey's Anatomy. Can't help it. I doubt CBS will leave CSI on that Thursday night lineup much longer though.

Because Grey's Anatomy is big hit and ABC is confident that it can compete with CSI in that time slot. I'll be watching Grey's.

It is a ratings battle in a sense, but some of us may be lucky enough to outsmart them...we don't have TiVo but we get channels across the country (Canada), so what is on here (Toronto, Ont. -EST/DST) at 8pm will be on in Edmonton, Alta at 10pm and Vancouver, B.C. at 11 pm(PST) but not all the time - sometimes the 'time shifting' works, sometimes not. I think our listings have it as Grey's - 8pm, CSI - 9pm and then ER at 10pm...Last year we had lots of fun catching 'The Apprentice' at ungodly hours of midnight or 1 am from Vancouver! (Too bad the VCR won't record a show while viewing another - time to upgrade!)

It really stinks when they do that and switch all the shows around but I think it is all a ratings thing....two popular shows and who will get the most viewers. I will be watching CSI

Ratings I would say,, to make all us so called "floaters" take a side on which show we like best!!!!

Sorry my vote goes to CSI,,, but from what I hear Grey's is suppost to be good.

Thursdays are the most popular tv night of the week... the networks and the shows "battle" for these slots and those that watch them. But in this day and age of DVR's and TiVos, it doesn't really matter! I'll watch one, record the other... the only decision i have to make is which one I'll watch and which I'll record...lol

I think its generally for ratings. It sucks though, because its going to cut ratings in half. I believe most of America watched both shows now we have to make a choice. Grey's all the way for me!!!!
