I have flat feet. Wondering what shoes are good - ASICS gel keyano? Have another brand but they seem stiff. Also, am getting pain in the calf on the treadmill. Does adjusting the incline help?

You might have to see a specialist and get an insert for your shoes. My buddy in college had to put orthodix(spelling?) in his running shoes to correct the problem. I don't have flat feet though, so i'm not sure. The best thing to do would be to see a specialist.

i work in podiatric office and i know doc advises another form of workout other than treadmill with pain in calf. you may have CT band syndrome or plantar fasciitis. there are many courses of treatment you can use yourself. try a great informative web site called myfootshop.com. i think you will find it helpful there is also a discussion forum. use the source as a direct link to the site.

Check out road runner sports, they have a site that can tell you what shoes work for you based on your weight, running style, and foot.
