My husband tiled our dining area and we had the same problem. He used a flooring cement product and a level to ensure the floor was even before laying the tiles. Tiles will wobble and could crack if you leave a one inch variance in the floor.

You can buy self leveling floor patch.. Slope is not a problem. You can make it up by building up mortar prior to putting down your tile.

Some slope is necessary and good. 1/16 to 1/8 bubble on 4' is not gonna cause any problems with the flooring.

Sure the tile well just slope the way the floor is, the only thing you need to make sure of it that you have a sound floor, no hole, cracks etc. We us old paneling under ours, we have 4 trailers that we have refloored with tile.

If the floor is uneven, you may have cracking issues with ceramic tiles. You can always level out the floor, lay vinyl tiles, or use carpet...

Sounds simple. Level the floor, then lay the tile.

Anything else is just half-assed.
