I'd go with the honest brutal truth. Having a seemingly perfect life would make me think something is going on, life is not perfect and never will, basically because we are in constant search for happiness, and happiness is ephemeral by nature. So, if everything is all right and I'm happy (that's the perfect life according to me), I would start thinking something is wrong and I don't know about it.
Dealing with the truth can be painful, but learning to live with truths every day, we like it or not, is something people should be proud of.
