I agree with you, no one is that important or has such a busy life that they need to be totally connected. I think it is more of a status thing than anything else. I also think it is disturbing and rude to carry on conversations in public on cell phones, many people do not seem to realize how loud they are actually talking.

Besides the fact that it is against the law in some states to use a handheld phone while driving, it can be more convenient to use an earpiece so your hands can be free to take notes or type while talking business on your phone.

I use one of those and it has made my life so much easier. Since I am always multitasking it helps to be able to answer my phone at the touch of a button. And with Bluetooth it doesn't matter where I am, in the office or at home.
On the other hand, I am not too sure if this doesn't cause brain cancer..lol!

I don't know why people like them. I can understand using them while in the car, but other than that people just look like they are walking around having a conversation with themselves.

i think the blue tooth is stupid. You don't see it half the time and you don't know if a person is talking to you or not... i have one and only wear it in the car

I try not to stereotype the whole group of people that use them. There's some that actually need it, and some that look dumb.
