I believe that the guy who said Spacewar is right, but Pong was the first "successful" video game.

All these ppl are wrong.
The first game wasn't Pong.
The first game was called "Life".
It looked like a screensaver (the one with changing geometric patterns) that would constantly change and ultimately create a complex pattern.
