To be honest they all cheat. Everyone thinks their favorite driver would do no wrong and is the perfect driver and I am a Jeff Gordon fan and love him to pieces every time he is on I go crazy. I REPEAT EVERY SIGNLE TEAM AND DRIVER CHEAT!!!! They are always looking for and edge to win, and they all cheat its just they dont get caught like Jimmie Johnson and Chad Knaus at Daytona, they did that all the time and some judges let is slide others dont and then he finally got caught and I like him too. When they get caught they serve the consquences and go on for other ways to cheat and do it until they get caught and thats the bottom line. They just haven't got caught so you can say oh my driver doesnt cheat and I said this alot and then someone told me this and I was like yeah your right so every person cheats they jsut havent got caught so its not that big of a deal.

Because sometimes they do, and sometimes this cheating is represented by huge truckloads of help from the people who rule the sport.

2 cases in Formula 1's recent history:
Take, for example, Ferrari and the FIA. Renault is their opponent team and in the last few months suspicious bans on some of the car's components (the infamous MASS DAMPER) and some fishy penalties to the lead driver of the Anglo-French team has made everyone think the FIA is trying to help Ferrari and 7-time champion Michael Schumacher.

Plus Ferrari have some "frisbee" wheel-caps on the rear rims, they are banned moveable aerodynamic devices, and the FIA does nothing against them.

And way back in 1994-1995 Benneton was going on a rampage towards two Drivers' Championships and one Constructors' Championship, with the same Michael Schumacher, and in both years there were issues with banned software like traction control (now barely legal). Nothing was done.

There is a " gray" area in racing.Thes are the little things that are not covered by the rules but are known by NASCAR.If a team starts to win or has several cars that start doing good these gray areas are looked into.
As for the latest allegations,"Goodwrench" may leave after this year so they have to do good and suddenly they are on top and are going to be warched very close by everyone.

Mostly jealousy by those making the accusations. Sometimes a team can just find the right combination that seems to work. Until NASCAR finds something during tech, there isn't any cheating.

Because Hendrick's teams do cheat so much, if they start getting beat, they figure who ever is beating them must be cheating too. So they start crying and spreading rumors about everyone else. The biggest bunch of sore losers ever.

Because there are so many rules it is hard for anyone to get much of an advantage over everyone else.

Because in a way they usually are. They have found some little tweak to the car that NASCAR officials haven't ruled on or caught on to. Like this current rumor about Harvick's tires.

people can't stand to see one succeed so they try to bring them down and stuff. messing up there game plans and forcing them to lose to make the critics shut up.
