is nuts i live 45 min away and i have to drive up in down a hill to get to his town. The previous order was i have my son every 1,3,4,5 thurs from 5pm til sun 5pm and every wed 5pm til fri 5pm i would pick him up on thurs dad would pick him back up on sun same as wed and fri. The judge said that he is willing to have us come back to court if this schedule doesn't work out but he doesn't encourage it. I was thinking of having my attorney ask the judge if we could do week to week schedule one week with me the next week with dad..... any advice? or comments?

I have to admit, I'm rooting for your ex. This happens so many times on the flip-side.

Well I guess if you want to spend more time with your son , and you think kissing your ex's butt will accomplish this then yes do it. But you say you were never found to be an unfit mother so I would try to find some free legal help, perhaps in another city or county, because of all the ties with the system your ex has. Maby call the state for help. Look in the phone book in the government pages (usually the blue section) and see if there is a hot-line for reporting corrupt Judges, law enforcement ext or just legal advice. Here in California there is low or no cost legal services for the poor when it comes to renting and family matters. Your ex sounds like an a$$, I wish you the best of luck.

no. look into legal aid and take him to court. it shouldn't matter if he's a sheriff deputy. that could be grounds to have the case heard in a state court simply because of the possibility of conflict of interest. if i understand what you're saying, he has full custody. i don't know what state you live in, but here in texas, custody is almost always given to the mother unless she is deemed unfit. if your ex works 12 hour shifts, where is the time that he is spending with his son? child custody cases are supposed to be about what's in the best interest of the child. do some research and get educated about your rights.

No!!!! It's too late for that. If you had done that years ago he'd still be there and you would not be having this problem. As for the court thing, A deputy and a judge are both parasites on the American people.

You simply have to prove that you are capable of being the better parent and eliminate the need in your life for county or state assistance. It has nothing to do with the drama of you and your ex...It's about the child. Where will the child be happier, healthier, and have a better future...? That's where the child should be.

I would say you did get screwed. Did you have a lawyer in all of this? If you did, they surely weren't fit to handle this. I would not kiss anyones ***. You are his mother. You need to see about hiring someone worthy, and fighting this thing through. I don't know where you live ( what state) but in Illinois, you can be a crackhead on welfare and still keep your children. Good luck with this. And kick your ex where it will count most!

You should ask the courts to move your case out of county!!!!! You have reasons to do this so they should, also, what does your son want? Is he happy with Dad, if so, I say just fight for more time with him.

Yes. But make sure he pays later. And not by using your son the way he has. I guess you'll have plenty of time to think about it. Get him to move away with you to some place where he can't pull this crap.
