my daughter is in her teens, and has become a little bit of a hippy.
she refuses to get an abortion... she keeps telling me that it's murder etc, you know the usual excuses.
im worried that this might lead to something unpleasent like not shaving her armpits or wearing inappropriate clothing...
is there a way to stop all this before it gets out of control?

Well, in your other question you asked about a good gift, and I answered that one, so I don't know about you.
But just to be nice, I shall answer this one to.
Hippies are cool people, they are not weird. If she dosen't shave her pits, whats the big deal, besides, if your her father should you care? It's her body.
Last but DEFIENTLY not least is about the abortion. If she dosen't want one then DON'T make her get one. That is totally murder and killing a baby is soo wrong that it's not even a laughing matter. If you make her go thru with that she's EXTREMELY likely to either run away, commit suicide, or above all hate you 4ever.

Being a hippie with armpit hair is the least of you worries. How old is she? You should have been worried before she got pregnant. Sounds out of control to me already. Sorry to say but I would rather my daughter be a hippie than out having sex.

Abortion IS murder.
If that's the only sign of her being a hippie then you are wrong..because a lot of people don't believe in abortion and that does not make them hippies*
Don't force her to get an abortion..that's a decision that she should be allowed to make.

Oh my goodness, are you serious? Why would you want your daughter to kill her unborn child? Great parenting! Why can't you accept your daughter for who she is, hippy or not. The more you remark on her hygiene, clothes and style of life...the more she will rebel and become worse. Sounds like you are a bit controlling and you should get ready because you are going to be a grandmother...Like it or not!

you didnt say how old your daughter is? dont try to stop it - its just who she is you should grow to like it. is it really such an issue if she stops shaving her armpits? i suppose some people might think of me as a hippy, and i am against abortion, but its not really anything to worry about.

LISTEN, I AM NOW 20 YEARS OLD BUT WHEN I WAS 15 GOT PREGNANT AND MY MOM MADE ME GET AN ABORTION. I WANTED TO KEEP MY BABY BUT I WAS TOO YOUNG AND NOT READY AT ALL. I LISTENED TO MY MOM BUT WHEN I THINK OF IT NOW I WISH I WOULD HAVE HAD MY CHILD. I ALSO HOLD A GRUDGE AGAINST MY MOM FOR MAKING ME GO THROUGH THAT. SUPPORT YOUR DAUGHTER.
