I completely agree with everything Mr. Chavez said about Bush and America. He is 100% correct. I'm glad that someone has finally stood up for truth and justice. Hugo Chavez is a hero.

Absolutely not. In fact I am completely insulted that a Marxist like Chavez can come to this country, stand before an international assembly that is headquartered in New York, and call the President of the United States "The Devil" and not be torn limb from limb by the angry citizenry of this country as he left the building.

Regardless of your personal feelings towards George W. Bush, we should all be deeply incensed by this incident. Not only because of Chavez's remarks, but because the UN assembly generally embraced his remarks rather than chastising him for such childish rhetoric.

Frankly, I believe we should withhold our UN dues until the general assembly calls for a public apology from Chavez.

Wake up people of the United States, the UN is not our friend!

Anyone that says yes here, is very lonely in their opinion, and even abandoned by their own party leaders. Even Nancy Pelosi condemned the speech, and called Hugo Chavez a thug. If you cannot see that another world leader coming onto our soil, and calling our president a devil is wrong then there is something not quite right about you. Imagine if Bush went to Venezuela and said the same thing, he would not make it out of the country alive. What happens when Hugo does it, he spoke at a church in New York this morning, and basically said the same thing.

Can you believe some americans would rather have a Castro like governing? All because they cannot tolerate hearing the concerns and cautions of the other party.. And so they have saturated the world and country with the hate america sentiment and the blame game / bigotry.. I shudder for this world if they are successful in downgrading the U.S. - Trouble is too, we would aid any country to thrive in freedom and living conditions.. I always felt communism and radical Islam would unite.. and when I see Chavez applauded and cheered, I remember how communism always boasted they would destroy america from within..

Chavez finally had a venue to make a political statement that the whole world can hear! Is Bush the Devil, common if the devil came to earth I would think he would not take human form! Why would he have too? Hes the Devil. He can do pretty much anything he wants!

No. I am no supporter of Bush but Chavez's hyperbolic rant was way over the top. I agree with Nancy Pelosi; Hugo is a thug.

Yes, Bush is a threat. He lied to get us into Iraq, He had his people during the election to spread lies about Kerry's war record, he lied to the American People about going after unladen, he approves of torture of POW's, bugs our phones and computers. Chavez is just as big a danger as Bush is but without the power of mass destruction. I don't believe he is the devil just a idiot, a powerful dangerous one who will stop at nothing to get what he wants. How many more Americans are going to have to die for the oil dollars?

venezuela president chavez is a communist. he is just one step down from fidel castro. whatever your opinion is about president bush (i did not vote for him) chavez is bad news. watching him reminds me of watching documentaries when fidel first took over cuba. he smooth talked everyone, he told the country how he was going to give it back to them and then 40 yrs later it is one of the poorest country in the world, because all the profits go to the man itself. if life in cuba is so wonderful why do we continue to see so many people risking their lives to come to the united states. and if venezuela is so wonderful, why do we have just a huge amount of venezuelanos in florida and more coming every day. but we dont see a large amount of people leaving the united states for other countries.
