Depends on what activity you want to train for. Pitching? Lifting? Tennis?
The wrist is a joint containing several bones, held together by ligaments (fibrous tissue,) and controlled by several long muscles which originate around the elbow and insert around the wrist and hand.
Sounds like you want to strengthen the forearm muscles, right?
Squeezing a rubber ball or one of those devices that baseball pitchers use is a good start. (you know, they have handles, are shaped like a "V" and you squeeze them repetitively. Sporting goods stores carry them.)
For the forearm, use a light dumbell weight and with your arm straight out and parallel to the ground, lift the weight up and down with your wrist. You will feel the work of the exercise in your forearm.
Have fun!

On the off-chance that you are actually serious.....You need a bag, a stick, a rock, and a rope. Put the rock into the bag and tie it to the center of the stick with the rope. Holding your hands at about chest level, use only your wrists and roll the stick so the rock is pulled up and down - as if the bag was an elevator.

Okay, there is an way to do this.
They have a thin bar that you grasp with your hands, and it has weight attached to a chain that is attached to the bar in your hands, and you roll the bar up with your wrists until the weights are all the way up to the top.
And thats how its done!

the muscles for all of your fingers run through a tunnel in your wrist- called your carpal tunnel.. you may have heard of this, it's where you get carpal tunnel syndrome, the chronic stress injury related to activities like typing.
