I don't think the Big 10 will invite any other schools because they take pride in being the only major conference with every school being ranked among the Top 100 Univeristies. The only public Big East to meet that criteria and have a decent athletics is Pittsburgh (28th nationally).

WVU & Louisville would both fit in great athletically and geographically but are 2nd tier universities ranked fr 100-200. The SEC would also be a possible fit because they aren't as academically strict and could use the boast in basketball. Personally, I like the Big East because it has the easiest possible route to a major bowl game

Notre Dame football in the present day nonetheless needs to proceed to be autonomous, and why no longer? Notre Dame basketball already play interior the massive East. Notre Dame is down immediately as is Michigan. Odds are per chance at the same time as Weis leaves and they get a smooth firebrand or a longtime triumphing coach in there they're going to go back to triumphing style. They have already got rivalries with Michigan & Michigan State. Notre Dame has a triumphing record vs. massive Ten. considering 1980: Notre Dame vs: massive 10: fifty six win vs 41loss Michigan: 11 win 10 loss Ohio State: 0 win 3 loss Michigan State: 16 win 10 loss Penn State: 5 win 9 loss If Notre Dame changed into in massive Ten they could compete for league championship each year assuming those very previous few years do not represent Notre Dame's destiny.
