Last I looked teams win World Series titles not individuals. Who says he "can't" contribute? His career is not done, The Yankees are in with, what looks like, the best record in the AL.
Maybe he is a choker. Maybe he isn't. Maybe, just maybe, he's hiding some sort of injury this season. Who knows and, frankly, who cares? All that matters is the playoffs and then we can make a judgement on A-Rod or A-Fraud.
