Trying to get some feedback about it before my family sees it.
What's the main idea it tries to show? I saw the trailer has a lot of action and swords, and I heard some awfully good quotes about the government.
But what's everyone else's thoughts?

I loved/love this movie.!
The main idea of the movie is taking power away from a corrupt and totalitarian government and returning it to the people.
The movie also tries to show what the world would be like if a government was given absolute control over a country and its people.
One concept in the movie is to show how one man can inspire a nation and how ideas can be powerful instruments of change. (I know I wrote it 'cheese-ily' but when you see it, you'll understand)
The movie is an interesting blend of historical reference and future possibilities.
This movie provided great conversations for not just for my family, but between friends as well. It really makes you think about current events and you start thinking about the other side of an argument. It might not entirely change your views on things, but it might make them less black and white.
I wouldn't recommend that young children watch this movie at all...there is a lot of violence in it. Definitely use discretion when showing it to the whole family. Maybe you should watch it first seperately to decide if it's appropriate for your whole family.
I really like this movie and even if it isn't for your whole family, I hope *you* watch it and enjoy it.

Its about a society that is completely controlled by the government and how one man rebels against it. I thought it was a very good movie. It had a lot of action and it really makes you think, it makes you sad too!!!! I'd recommend it. But take note this is a movie where you have to pay attention to the plot to understand what is going on.

Logos 24 does a good job describing the main idea. This is a very important movie everyone who loves freedom should see and reflect upon. It was also very entertaining and moving. The story is powerful and while "V" is a imperfect man, he is also a hero fighting against tyranny

Want to hear something scary, the loud speakers and cameras are up in a town in england just like the movie, I saw it on the news today. I got a little freaked

It was a good movie for adults who appreciate social/political commentary. If your family will be watching it, I do not recommend that young children watch it because of the violence that's portrayed.

It is such a great movie. Everything about it was awesome. Totally just rent it and watch it. You'll love it.

it was good...but you have to make sure you understand how government works...but for a family movie night i don't think it would be too appropriate for little kids other wise go right ahead!...and get ready to get a brain workout!...it was kind of confusing...so im watching it again...but thats just me!
