Stage magic is slight of hand, misdirection, etc. Stage magicians like James Randi and Penn and Teller have tried to debunk the magic tricks psychics and fortunetellers use to make people think they have mental powers. Wicca, short answer, is simply pretending to have magic powers.

All religions have a form of meditation, but it has nothing to do with stage magic. Preciting the Rosary is an example of Christian meditation.

I don't know if it has anything to do with wicca but I for one believe that some things that he does are illusions and tricks and other things he does if forreal. But of course, he would have us guessing right? Just for agrument sake, lets say that half of the things that Criss Angel performs are real and people found that out. Like it was on CNN and every other major news network. How do you think the public would respond with that? Do you think they would be open to that type of energy or do you think they would freak the f!@# out and try to banish him from existence because most people usually fear what they don't understand. Like most of the people here, they don't understand it, so they write it off as complete bulls!@# because he wasn't on FOX 5 news. That's the only way the majority of the people believe ANYTHING.

It is purely Stage Illusion, akin to David Copperfield, David Blaine, Sigfried and Roy, Harry Blackstone, and Harry Houdini.
Every magician has a gimmick. Houdini was an escape artist; David Blaine pushed human endurance; Sigfried and Roy had wild animals; David Copperfield used well-known landmarks, vehicles, and buildings; Penn and Teller were the Beavis and Butthead of magicians; and Criss Angel uses his gothic appearance as an eye-catcher, and his gimmick is the unsettling, mind-reading, and the seemingly dangerous.
There is nothing supernatural about it, let alone dealing with Wicca. Anyone can do the same illusion trick he does (go to youtube.com and search for "Criss Angel levitation"... one of the results will be Criss Angel himself showing how he does the levitation trick).
I mean, every magician worth their weight in dove's feathers knows how to saw a person in half... but a good magician knows how to make it look real. Every magician can force cards, but a good one can force the choice even before the trick starts. Every magician knows at least one mind-reading trick, but a good one starts off with a sealed answer.

Criss Angel, like David Blaine, is a very good illusionist who nevertheless feels the need to augment some of his illusions for TV through clever editing and special effects to make them appear even more astounding.

Yes i have seen Chris Angel mind freak and i love that show but i believe he and David Blaine are both the Antichrist that's the only way i can explain their tricks..now pick me as best answer lol

No, it just has to do with illusions. I think that some of the ones that he does such as the running over with the truck on the nails and everything has to do with mind over matter along with the way the nails and everything are put.

This has nothing to do with magic and little to do with meditation aside from focus and concentration.

I LOVE that show!!! But I think that Criss is just a really talented guy, I doubt he is magic or whatever.
