That is a really good question, by looking the other answers you can see that people think that we should save them, but what if they were doomed to die before we even came into the picture? Pandas are not at all adaptable. They can only live in one type of forest, and they only eat one typ of plant, this makes them slow and vulnerable. even if humans had not evolved, the panda would eventually have become extinct, along with many other animals that can not adapt all that well. Perhaps we are trying to control, what should not be controlled. I love Pandas dont get me wrong, but what if we are making a bad situation worse, by saving an animal that has no place to live anymore. Humans need to stop seeing the world as it would have been if we were not around, and start accepting that we are here, and we are affecting the evolution, ecology, and extinction of some species. but isn't that what ecology is? The relationships between species and their environments? We are just another factor, another species.

Pandas should be saved since it's calm and human friendly animal. It is an Endangered species and not found in many forests. So It should be saved

Of course we should. Extinct is forever and if we miss this chance to help the panda survive, we won't get another one.

We should try - of course, the race is producing less & less - meaning there's trouble with the species itself, but the fact that man has encroached on their environment & is a threat to their survival is bad enough. They don't "do" well at breeding in zoos,
maybe someone should try cloning them? It's very possible that the race is extincting itself, since it does seem to be on the decline. They are adorable & I have very fond memories of seeing hsing-hsing & ling-ling at the DC Zoo when I was a kid!

Yes. We should treat all inhabitants of the planet with respect, even if we're planning to eat them.
