The decision of if you'd prefer to eat oysters or snails does not involve ethics for one who is not a vegetarian, since it's purely a matter of taste. (If one has a moral issue with the eating of animals, the decision is still not ethical, because both options have the same net ethical value, each requiring the death of an animal.) On the other hand, if you find a wallet containing money on the ground, it is an ethical decision as to if you should simply keep it, or if you should bring it to a police station or otherwise attempt to return it to its owner. This is an ethical decision because it involves the issues of responsibility, as well as right and wrong.

The difference is the quest for good in the action, if there is no greater good in the options, there is no ethics involved.

For instance, when choosing how to get to the store, if you have two cars you must mind practical reasons to choose one of them, since the effect to society and yourself is just as good with one and the other there is no ethics involved.

Yet, if you can go by foot, and therefore can have a good effect on your health and community (pollution, traffic, etc.) then there is some ethical questions to consider between going by car or walking.

Some say that everything can have ethical implications, but often we don't have practical options that really differentiate themselves in the ethical ground, for instance, if you cannot go to the store by foot and return with your groceries because of its location and access ways. If you don't have a choice within the practical, you have no moral responsibility.
