It's not the muslims that government wants to make suffer, I dont think. It's the land and the resources and fear of the alternative...that in past history, one giant government is desirous of it's continuation to expand. If the predominantly muslim countries appear to be getting stronger...it seems the other countries are trying to squealch expansion and/or power.

It's extremely hard to get people who aren't suffering to fight for anyone other than their own country. It is important for the radical religious leaders to convince the restless youth of their area that they ARE suffering and it's all someone else's fault. On top of that, they tell them about the rewards after they die.
The best way to fight the religious radicals is two-fold:
1. Religious education on TV offering several different interpretations of key passages and challenging people to think for themselves.
2. Improving economic conditions. If people aren't hungry and have a little bit of extra money to spend, they are not interested in war. They have too much to lose.

coz of their no UNITY among their own leaders !!.. they know that the Western media is targeting ISLAM knowingly that it is THE TRUTH !!! .. but the only resistance agaisnt them is UNITY agiasnt zionists n isreal .. but even the muslim leaders are not that towards ISLAM .. n they r indulged in these worldly things !!! they muslims as nation are GOOD .. but the leaders are way to go in the salvation of ISREAL n zionists !! muslims need to change thier leaders !!!
