I know its an odd question - but I've just bought this album sleeve in the style of the old 60's american albums...its brand new and just doesn't look RIGHT in my stack of records...

How do I make it look aged without wrecking the thing?

(note - the front cover is glued on like the originals...)

I just wanna make it appear naturally old and used...

You could leave it in the sun for a while to make it look yellowed and somewhat faded, also putting it in a place where a lot of dust accumilates could help. Try carrying it around alot and make the corners all wrinkled up.

Also, the tea bag idea is very good (i've tried it with paper) but you should test it on another cover first.

Leave it (without the vinyl inside!) in the back window of the car
The sun will soon fade it
Depends where you live but the sun has been shining today here in Cumbria!
OR
you could hibernate for 20 years and then return to your collection and lo and behold ir is old
(sorry! couldn't resist that

an old trick is to use (i know this sounds silly) an old used tea bag - this gives the effect of a sepia finish - particularly in photography. However, try this on an old cover or waste paper first to see if it gives the desired effect that you are after. good luck!

You could try putting it in and out of a bookcase of books , you know, simulate grabbing it and using it, then returning it. May take 30 or 40 times. You could also give it to a little kid to hold for a while, they'll mess it right up for ya.

Put it in a clothes dryer with a few tennis balls. Keep checking it till it looks like how you want it.
Use the fluff dry cycle.

Leave it on the floor for a couple of days. It depends on how messy a person you are. Most of the time you'll tread on it a couple times, leave stuff on it, drag it along, etc.
Simple.
