Right there right now. I feel like I have gained 2 sizes from all the bloating. I haven't had luck in the constipation department either, trying prune juice but not looking so good. Well good luck to us both♥ congratulations on your pregnancy♥

Normal. As normal as anything can be when you're pregnant.
Tell your partner to get away with the air freshener. Those chemicals are very bad for both of you.
Here are some quick digestion aids:
- Switch to five small meals instead of three larger ones and be careful not to overeat
- Drink peppermint tea one hour after each meal
- Take a 20 minute walk after you eat to keep your system moving
- Make sure you eat between 5 and 10 servings of fruit and veg every day. Eat the peel whenever you can to help clean you out.
- Get plenty to drink. Water is best but a small glass of fruit nectar (prune, pear, peach or apricot) will help keep your innards moving and provide great vitamins.
- At your next check up, tell your doctor and a switch in your prenatal vitamins may help. There are some more expensive brands that can help alleviate these symptoms. Some women say that taking the vitamins with the nectar, helps them in the short term
Remember, every day of pregnancy is different, so this might disappear any time.
Congratullations. Have a happy and healthy nine months.

At least you'll have a baby and an end in sight where the flatulance is concerned. My husband should have a dryer sheet put between his butt and underwear to act as a filter! And there's no ending and no baby in it for me. Help!
Anyway, back to your problem. I was never constipated, but has gas terrible. Nothing worked to ease it. Then I had heartburn terrible and I was so bloated that I could make fingerprints on my legs. I think if you eat real mild foods, less salt and no pop you might have more luck, but you might just have to wait until it's all over to become your beautiful, polite self again.

Oh my goodness, yes! I had never experienced so much gas as when I was pregnant! Its pretty normal (unfortunately). Not to mention being hot as hell throughout an entire New England winter...on top of the gas, I swear I had B.O. the whole time I was pregnant! Paints a lovely picture, don't it.
I don't think there is too much you can do about the gas though, there are over the counter gas remedies, but don't try anything unless you doctor recommends it!
Good luck!

I had this and it was chronic! I even went to the emergency room as I was in so much pain! My doctor gave me lactulose, but I wasn't keen to use medication. The only thing that worked was going on a detox for a couple of days. I drunk only juiced fruit and vegetables, ate salad and drank about 6 glasses of water a day. After the 2nd day, things were moving and the pain subsided. I have been regular since and the wind has (almost) gone.

The gas is a result of being constipated. You need to ask your doctor for stool softeners. If you are experiencing constipation often, it could end up putting you in a serious condition," Impacted bowels" then if you were to try home remedies after a long bout of constipation you could suffer from a "collapsed bowel", either way it could endanger your life and the life of your baby!

Take Malox. I use it for heartburn and gas and it works pretty quickly. For the constipation, all you can really do is drink a ton of water and if it gets to bad, your doctor might give you something. Don't take any over the counter laxatives. Plain fiber is ok.

I have been in the same boat but I have learned for the constipated try eating oatmeal once a day. It really gets things to move in the right way.

I had to use Colace, an over the counter softener, while I was pregnant. I feel your pain! Try and get on something that will get you regulated or it will only get worse. Good Luck and Congratulations!

You have to watch what your eating. Things like lettuce gave me gas. Good luck with that, it only gets worse as the baby gets bigger.
