Do you mean the actual Burner? thats a actual Drive/hardware that you need to have in your computer, If you want software to burn it usually comes with burning software. but there are some out there. just do a search-- Free dvd burner software or program. Dont you people ever search the web.

You not only need DVD burning software, you actually need the hardware. A CD burner will not burn a DVD. (while a DVD burner will probably burn a CD.)

If you just want to back up your DVD collection it's fine to use cloning software which produce very good back ups of your DVD's. But is illegal to copy and sell them.

The DVD burner, you'll have to buy, the software to do it can either be had as a trial, or you may be able to get it using Ares (P2P)

A DVD burner is hardware, so you would have to purchase that to install in your computer. and it would probably come with software, if not your computer should have the capacity to transfer files already
