It's because of the mountains. There are so many hills and valleys that cell phone signals are blocked by the natural geography of the state. There's decent service in Charleston, Huntington, Wheeling, Clarksburg, Parkersburg, and Morgantown, but other than that it's kind of hit or miss.

haha its not your cell phone!! my dad lives in west virginia and when ever i go there the calls never go through! and even when they do it always drops them! i think its because of the mountains? im not sure... lol but i just wanted to say its not ur phone and it happens to me n my mom too!

cops can and could arrest/fee ticket/chase you for using a 4 wheeler on a highway without drivers license no motor vehicle plate or ruin lights, comparable with golf carts. THAT guy purely ROBBED A economic enterprise AND IS ESCAPING ON A 4 WHEELER NOOOO!!!! NOW WE CANT CHASE HIM he's UNTOUCHABLE.. COMONE ON elementary experience

west virginia ain't exactly "urban." there's limited towers there and with limited towers there are limited range. the mountains as well suck too.
