Yes, the world has turned hysterical and more violent in recent years. It started getting worse since 911. We are losing our freedoms little by little every day.

I don't think it has turned hysterical yet. It still has a ways to go. Right now, it had turned quite cautious more than anything. Some would say it has turned analytical, while others would call it incestryal. I personally don't know what to think. It's crazy man.

I think you may be right there. It is fuelled by world leaders such as Bush and Blair who are practicing the politics fear - telling us the world is a scary place and then trying to make us grateful when they bomb the heck out of innocent civilians. It is sick and it should STOP. Some people are getting more and more scared in their daily lives and, in some instances, are getting hysterical and doing crazy things.

No more so that before. We just have a more 'connected' world now with mass media that allows us to hear more about the crazy things that happen around it. Plus the media also likes to sensationalize bad stories to get more watchers/readers/listeners. There are a whole lot of good things happening still too, the stories just don't sell as well, so we don't hear about them.
