what happens if you put night vision goggles on in the dark and look at a mirror?

Well, it wouldn't work for women since they use them to apply eye makeup.

As you say mirrors only work when there is something to reflect. If the room was totally dark (IE without any light source at all) then the goggles wouldn't work either, If they did then there's a light source and the mirror works.

i dont think you will see anything, well at least not colours, cause bodies radiate their colours and r seen from light they need light to be seen
